The Challenge
In 2014 LemonRock Motorbike Rentals & Tours was a newly registered business when its founders approached us for the first time. We were offered an opportunity to partner with LemonRock. The founders were impressed with our expertise in a number of fields, one of which was branding and advertising.
LemonRock Motorbike Rentals & Tours was supplying its customers with the best in market BMW motorcycles available for short- and long-term rent as well as the guided and self guided tours across the most picturesque areas of Ireland.
In early 2014 LemonRock did not have a logo. This was our first project as the partners.
Our Solution
We did a thorough research to identify the personality of this young brand, to evaluate the market it operated in and to understand its future customer base.
The choice of the motorbike manufacturer (BMW) gave us an advance knowledge behind the type of the customers that LemonRock will inevitably attract, their demographics and the behavioral patterns. The pricing behind the rental services supported our estimate.
It was critical that LemonRock identity will be sleek and premium looking. Nothing casual, friendly and quirky would fit a customer profile. LemonRock brand had to look well next to brands like Audi, BMW, Suzuki and the likes.
We commenced with the task and in a few iterations we had the final brand design. Its sleek metallic elements were combined with the enamel-alike colour infusion of bright zesty-yellow. The brand could be easily envisioned as a metal emblem mounted on a side of a motorbike. Strong and powerful palette of zesty yellow, blocky black and shiny metal was impactful to appeal to the right audience.
Custom branded flags were installed by the entrance to the LemonRock headquarters in Killarney, Co. Kerry. The branded merchandise was designed and printed in the later years.
